Executive Summary

The Cooler That Does Everything. Now on Camera.

The Pengo Cooler Ball is a first-of-its-kind product — a patented, spherical cooler that rolls, floats, and tows without tumbling its contents. Born in Central Texas and built for the lake, the trail, and the city block, it's a product that practically sells itself once people see it in action.

Our goal is to produce a crowdfunding pitch video for Indiegogo that captures that magic on screen. Inspired by the format of classic viral campaigns like the "Coolest Cooler," we'll build a clean, feature-led video that communicates the "what" and "why" within the first 15 seconds — and keeps viewers watching until the call to back.

With Matthew Wilson leading creative direction from Temple and Jacob Alston bringing outdoor production expertise from the Highland Lakes area, this is a team that knows Central Texas — and knows how to make product video that converts.

Video Objectives

What This Video Needs to Do

Every shot, every cut, and every line of VO is engineered to move a viewer from curious to committed.

01
Hook in 15 Seconds

Communicate the "what" and "why" of the Pengo Ball immediately — before a viewer can scroll past.

02
Demonstrate Core Features

Show smooth rolling, floating use, port hatch drink access, bike towing, and the tow bar rack — all in real environments.

03
Own the Urban Outdoor Niche

Position the Pengo Ball as the new-generation urban cooler — not competing with Yeti, but defining its own category.

04
Build Pre-Launch Hype

Deliver vertical cutdowns for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts to build momentum and email list growth before the Indiegogo go-live.

05
Reach the Right Audience

Speak to active adults 26–65 with discretionary income — water sports enthusiasts, cyclists, and urban outdoor lifestylers.

06
Drive Crowdfunding Conversions

Produce a video compelling enough to support a 7-figure crowdfunding performance goal on Indiegogo.

Creative Approach

How We'll Shoot It

Clean, punchy, and feature-led — built for the scroll-stop moment.

1
Format: "Coolest Cooler" Style

Simple, clean, feature-led storytelling. No bloat. Just the product doing its thing, with tight VO and punchy cuts.

2
Look & Feel: Urban Outdoor

Water + city + trail. Not rugged survival — this is the cooler for the person who bikes to the lake and floats back.

3
Locked-Frame Jump Cuts

Same framing, different environments. The cooler in the exact same spot — on a beach, on a trail, rolling down apartment stairs.

4
POV Bike Mount Shot

Camera mounted to the bike, looking back at the Pengo Ball rolling behind. Short, punchy, and immediately shareable.

5
Voiceover-Based Narration

VO script developed with Chad — tightened for pacing, clarity, and feature callout timing. On-screen text labels reinforce key specs.

6
Balanced Talent Mix

Sourced locally — approximately 60/40 male/female talent to reflect the actual audience breakdown from Pengo's social data.

Signature Shots
Water
Floating on lake, port hatch access, towing behind kayak
Bike Trail
Towing behind bicycle, gimbal cradle in action, POV mount
Urban
Austin skyline backdrop, rolling down stairs, grocery run
Product Hero
Feature callouts, tow bar, hatch detail, receiver hitch accessory
Lifestyle
Group at the lake, cold drinks, Bluetooth speaker on rack
Optional: CAD
Exploded view animation of wheel track system & hatches
Prototype-Aware Production Plan

The current prototype is 3D printed — not final roto-molded durability. We'll film beauty and product hero shots first, then seal the main lid before water sequences. Any features not physically present will be handled via controlled framing or optional CAD animation.
